Nikhat is the Executive Director of Abacus Behaviour Consulting. She is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), International Behaviour Analyst (IBA) and a Category-A Behaviour Consultant on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP). Nikhat has worked in the field of Developmental Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health in the Greater Vancouver area since 2005.
Nikhat completed her Masters of Education with a concentration in Special Education and Autism and Developmental Disabilities at the University of British Columbia. Her work focuses on providing individualized interventions to ethnically diverse families who may be experiencing multiple barriers to service.
Nikhat founded Abacus Behaviour Consulting so that she could focus on providing person-centered interventions. Taking the time to create a relationship with the child, their family, and network allows her to individualize plans which lead to successful behaviour change based on the environment at hand.
Breanna is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and a Category-A Behaviour Consultant on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP). She has worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2015.
Breanna worked as a Behaviour Interventionist (BI) while completing her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, Learning and Developmental Disabilities, and Education and Curriculum at Simon Fraser University. She then went on to complete her Masters of Arts in Applied Behaviour Analysis in 2021 at Arizona State University.
Breanna has experience and a passion for working with children aged 1-9 years old within their home, school, and community settings.
Victoria is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and has been working in the field of ABA since 2017.
Her passion working with young children started when she began working as a Child and Youth Care Counselor. Over the years, she has volunteered with Big Brothers, Fraser Health Crisis Line, and Vancouver Children's Hospital. She started her journey as a Behaviour Interventionist in a center based setting, and in 2022 she graduated with her Masters in Science in Applied Behaviour Analysis from St. Cloud State University.
Victoria has extensive experience working with young children and youth; she has supported adults as well. Her passion is to help them grow and cultivate healthy relationships with family members, friends, and with their community.
Kelsie is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who brings over five years of experience in the field of early intervention, complemented by her background as a nanny, where she developed a deep understanding of family dynamics.
Her dedication lies in supporting both the family unit and the individual child through tailored interventions.
With a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and a Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis at Arizona State University, Kelsie is passionate about empowering young children, enhancing play skills, and fostering meaningful relationships through positive behavior supports and parental training.
Amir is a Junior Behaviour Consultant and has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2023.
With collaborative evidence-based intervention at the center of his approach, Amir enjoys working closely with families and their multidisciplinary teams to help children build lasting progress together.
Amir holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Simon Fraser University and is currently completing his Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis at the Florida Institute of Technology. His clinical interests include communication development, social skill acquisition, and strengthening adaptive skills through positive behavior support.
Qaaiba is a Behaviour Interventionist with experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis since 2024. She is completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Douglas College while gaining hands-on experience supporting children and families through individualized behavioural programs.
Originally from Mombasa, Kenya, Qaaiba developed a passion for working with children from a young age through volunteer work and community initiatives in her home country. She is dedicated to creating supportive and engaging environments where children feel encouraged to learn and grow, as well as build confidence, independence, and important life skills. Qaaiba values collaborating with families and her team at Abacus to help each child reach their full potential.
Mariam is an Administrative Assistant and Behaviour Interventionist at Abacus Behaviour Consulting since 2021. She is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Care while continuing to build hands-on experience supporting children and families through individualized behavioural support.
Mariam is known for her kind, thoughtful, and empathetic approach. She is passionate about creating meaningful connections with the children and families she supports, and takes pride in building strong, trusting relationships that foster growth and positive outcomes.
